We are a diverse community of people seeking to understand and follow the teachings of Jesus, and how they apply to our lives. 

At Eden Church we desire to be a place where people can find soul rest, and discover the living water that Jesus offered when he said, “those who drink the water I give them will never thirst”.

Today our vision can be summed up:

Eden has always been a place where the message of the Bible was translated into practical living and applied to the issues of the day. Today Eden is still a thriving community that seeks to continue showing practical love to the community of Mt. Eden and beyond, a place of worship and contemporary thinking and teaching about the Bible and how it applies to us today.

Our History

Since its foundation in 1899, Eden Church has been a Christian community based in View Road, Mt. Eden. Eden has always been committed to Bible teaching, and this has propelled an outward focussed community active in sharing the good news about Jesus Christ and seeking  to show love in practical ways. This can be evidenced by the ventures started over the years that are still running including Eden student hostel, Edenvale retirement home, and Daystar early childhood centre. For more than a century many people have gone out from Eden bringing the hope of Jesus Christ all over the world.
